Live Tweeting for #CoCo2014

The much (personally!) awaited CoCo (Coalition against Corruption) Summit concluded recently. Needless to say, the conference was a big success in terms of seeing some remarkable interaction among renowned experts in the field of corruption.

The two-day conference held in Bangalore, co-hosted by The Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law, Stanford University, Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, and Sunlight Foundation, Washington DC saw over 26 speakers from around the globe exchanging ideas  on:

  • Corruption in Public Resource Allocation
  • Political Financing and Lobbying
  • Corruption in Public Procurement and Contracting
  • Retail Corruption in Public Services for Citizens

Live tweeting for #CoCo2014 on @ipaidabribe was an experience MOST splendid for me. And the best part – my manager was very happy with my work! (Which is a GREAT compliment – mind you!)

The event was also broadcast live and the recordings (in parts) can now be watched on: http://ichangemycity.com/live. Naim Keruwala from Pune (@Naim_K), who was a guest at the event, had made a CoCo Twitter  list as well.

Some of the key takeaways from the conference are best summed up by these tweets:

Ellen Miller was generous enough to tweet this panaromic pic from the breakout session 🙂
